Petr Beckmann (November 13, 1924 – August 3, 1993) was a professor of electrical engineering who became a well-known advocate of libertarianism and nuclear power. Later in his life he disputed Albert Einstein's theory of relativity and other accepted theories in modern physics. He received a B.Sc. in 1949, a Ph.D. in 1955, and a D.Sc. in 1962, all from Prague's Czech Academy of Sciences in electrical engineering. He defected to the United States in 1963 and became a professor (later, emeritus) of electrical engineering at the University of Colorado.

Arthur Brouhard Robinson (born March 24, 1942) is an American biochemist, conservative activist, prominent climate change denier, and politician serving as Oregon State Senator from the 2nd District since 2021. He was the five-time Republican nominee for the United States House of Representatives for Oregon's 4th congressional district.

A former faculty member of the University of California, San Diego, Robinson now runs a privately funded laboratory known as the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine in Cave Junction, Oregon, and publishes the Robinson Self-Teaching Home School Curriculum

This newsletter knows where it stands. On matters of energy, this is our credo: The energy potentially available to us is for all practical purposes unlimited; but access to it is blocked. It is blocked. above all, by anti-technology sentiment, environmental paranoia, and interference in natural markets. Beyond these obstacles, there is little that science and technology cannot eventually overcome. We further believe that pollution and destruction of the environment is not an essential by-product of technology; on the contrary, more science and better technology are needed to keep the environment clean. We will not engage in polemics. We will bring you facts; facts on the energy crisis, facts on new sources of energy, facts on the abundance of energy, facts on the lack of access to it, We are fiercely independent: we are beholden to nobody. We accept no advertising, no contributions, no subsidies, no charity. We accept only your subscription. If we do not provide the facts, you will not subscribe. and we will fold . It's that simple.

From 1973 until his death in August 1993, Dr. Peter Beckman edited the first 20 years of Access o Energy. Starting with volume 21, Dr. Arthur B. Robinson continued the newsletter as its new editor.

This collection includes most of the first 34 years of the newsletters. I suspect there were more published aterwards. Click "list items" to see them...
