The Alan Stang Report List Items

The Alan Stang Report is organized by Tape Number. It appears as though it was a weekly newsletter and each tape has five numbers associated with it. My guess is that the numbers 1-5 represtent Monday - Friday. So the newsletter is a weekly transcript of the daily 5 minute programs that were broadcast that week. The first item in our Library is Tape Number 242 and dated Jan 3, 1977. Assuming approximately 52 weeks per year, the initial broadcast would have been around the 18 week of the year 1972. The 18th Monday in 1972 was May 1st.

Within this library you will find a fragment of this collection. The first 241 Tape transcripts have not been obtained. Tape 242 is the first and only transcript from 1977. Tape 294 - 345 comprise the calendar year 1978. For 1979, 51 of the 53 transcripts are available. The missing transcripts are #370 dated Jun 18 and #383 dated Sep 17. Just 4 transcripts, 401, 422, 440 and 442 for the year 1980 are available. #501 dated 12/21/1981 is the only missing transcript from 1981. For 1982, the first 9 transcripts #503-#511 are missing. Numbers #512-#552 are available and then the collection ends with 2 additional weeks of 1982 unaccounted for.
