William F Jasper, American journalist and author, senior editor of The New American Magazine, and long-time member of the John Birch Society was born in Madison, Wisconsin. He grew up in the Pacific Northwest and received a bachelor's degree in child psychology and education from the University of Idaho.

In 1976, Jasper joined the John Birch Society as a researcher. Soon he began to write for its magazines, American Opinion and The Review of the News, and when they merged in 1985, for The New American. In 1990 he became a senior editor.

The New American will become a monthly with an expanded number of pages (72 instead of 48). A weekly online intelligence newsletter called the "Insider Report" will complement the magazine and be emailed every Friday to TNA subscribers at no additional cost. Within this library you will find this new and ongoing collection. The first issue is dated, February 14, 2025 and from the outset it is published weekly. This publication was launched as a CEO initiative. Mr. Wayne Morrow, decided to increase timeliness of the New American Magazine while reducing cost by implementing a weekly digital publication. In tandem with this decision, the Print magazine would double in size but be issued monthly. This means reduced production cost, space for more in-depth reporting and increased contact with subscribers via the newsletter.
